The Role of Italian Agricultural Technology in Kenya

Partner: Idrofoglia

Location: Kenya

In the heart of Kenya’s hinterland, 70 km from Malindi, an agricultural project is being set up on an area of 4,000 hectares, initially for the cultivation of maize and later for cattle breeding, which will lead to the creation of 400 new jobs for the local community.

Training and field support

Idrofoglia ensured optimal and sustainable implementation in the long term, going beyond simply delivering the equipment. Specialists closely monitored each stage of equipment installation, providing practical and theoretical training to local staff to ensure autonomous and efficient operation. They also monitored all testing and commissioning operations, ensuring that every step, from initial setup to performance verification, was carried out accurately and in accordance with the expected standards.

In addition, remote technical assistance was guaranteed through the remote support of our technicians IdroMOP, which made possible real-time monitoring and optimization of the equipment in use.

A positive impact on the local community

The introduction of advanced technological solutions in agriculture will not only optimize production efficiency, but also foster a more sustainable agricultural model, with positive effects on the community. The creation of new jobs and the adoption of innovative agricultural practices are key to the economic and social progress of the region.

With this project, Idrofoglia is demonstrating how Italian agricultural innovation can have a tangible impact on growth and sustainability in developing countries, opening up new opportunities for progress for Kenya and its communities.
