Overshoot Day, what is it?
Earth Overshoot Day is the day on which the official depletion of renewable natural resources occurs: human demand exceeds what the Earth is capable of generating for the current year.
By this term, the Global Footprint Network, a non-profit that develops tools to promote sustainability, designates the day of the year from which each country and the Planet as a whole begins to accumulate new ecological debt.
How is this day calculated?
Earth Overshoot Day is calculated by dividing the planet’s biocapacity, which is the amount of ecological resources the Earth is able to generate that year, by humanity’s ecological footprint, which is humanity’s demand for that year, and multiplying by the number of days in a year.
In 2023, Earth Overshoot Day fell on August 2;
Italy declared Overshoot Day on May 15.
It is estimated that proceeding at this rate around 2050 humanity will consume as much as twice as much as the Earth produces.
From the calculation made, Italy is estimated to declare Overshoot Day on May 19, 2024.
Not all countries, however, have an overshoot day. If a country’s per capita Ecological Footprint is less than the global biocapacity per capita (1.5 gha), then the world would not exhaust the entire year’s regenerative resource budget within a year if all of humanity lived as they do.
Climate change and environmental impacts are increasingly evident, so it is time to take concrete actions to mitigate these effects.

Water is the most precious resource we have. Why waste it?
Irrigation is at the center of climate issues and more environmentally sustainable management is a necessity.
IdroMOP offers irrigation that is more environmentally friendly and less impactful to the environment.
We have created a system that will allow you to manage and configure irrigation as optimally as possible,
With remote control you have the ability to manage all the parameters of the control unit, always at your fingertips.
Water is a unique resource, and drinking water, if we do not take right precautions, will become not only a precious but also a rare resource.

Only 3% of the water is unsalted, and 2.5% of it is found in glaciers. This leaves only 0.5% of water available for humans and the ecosystem.
Agriculture uses an average of 70% of fresh water, more than half of which is used for irrigation.
Water is a limited and precious resource that is becoming increasingly threatened by the effects of climate change, pollution, overexploitation, and mismanagement of water resources. Therefore, it is essential to take measures to protect and conserve water by promoting sustainable and rational use of this precious resource.
We at IdroMOP promote sustainable and innovative agriculture.
We do not waste water, but we use it in the best way possible.
IdroMOP gives you the ability to manage your irrigation by starting and shutting it off remotely wherever you are.
This will give you the opportunity to stop irrigation in bad weather or high temperatures, thus avoiding a waste of energy.

How can we reduce waste when we irrigate?
Avoiding watering during the hottest hours of the day is definitely the advice everyone will give you.
But what makes IdroMOP truly unique?
We believe in a more sustainable work environment.
We want to offerirrigation that is greener and less environmentally impactful.
We have created a system that will allow you to manage and configure irrigation as optimally as possible.
How?
With remote control you have the ability to manage all the parameters of the control unit while saving the most precious resource we have: water.
Technological innovation
- Turning the machine on and off
Fully remotely you have the possibility of working on the machine in case of unfavorable weather conditions - Management of different types of machines with one control unit and one App
- Electronic control of sprinkler and range of the water spout
- Remote control management of all sensors and parameters of the control unit
Climate change and environmental impacts are increasingly evident, so it is time to take concrete actions to mitigate these effects. In recent years, sustainability has become a priority for many people. Concern for the environment and a desire to reduce negative impacts on the planet have led to increased interest in energy efficiency and water conservation.
Our research and development team has examined ways to increase control and management of each parameter while minimizing energy speculation.
- Irrigation system dependent on wind speed
- Flow rate control
- Optimized management of water resources
- Calibration of irrigation according to different inputs received
- Autonomous detection and management of anomalies or faults
With IdroMOP, irrigation has never been so Green.
